Blog Post for 28//2/2021- My winter dress collection

Even though we are now transitioning into spring I love my winter dresses, I would wear a dress over trousers any time, maximum comfort! They are so easy to style and I love that you can dress them up or wear them casually. I have a lot of winter dresses but these are my favourite and how I style them! If you follow my Instagram @emmarose_fits you will have most likely already seen this dress. I bought it from topshop (now ASOS) last year. The double layer makes it warm to wear and the mesh dresses it up. I was reading an article on the trend setter website last week and they predicted that mesh will be a firm

favourite this year, so looking forward to wearing this again! I styled this with my Michael Kors cross body bag and doc marten boots, I normally wear my longline Dorothy Perkins nude coat over the top and dress the outfit up with my best jewellery! High neck dresses are also my favourite, these are perfect with a chunky belt and so cosy. The leopard print one was my Valentine’s Day outfit and (if you can’t tell) the puff sleeve style suits me so much! The thick t-material made it so easy to wear and the belt shaped it perfectly, this is also a lovely spring transition piece with some chunky sandals. The khaki high neck dress is a suede material, so perfect for winter weather. It has small detail stitching on the neck and again the belt pulls it in to create a nice shape. When I wore this on Christmas Day I wore it without a belt, maximum room for Christmas dinner, and it created a lovely look and dressed it up. I wore the leopard print dress with my denim Levi’s black jacket which fitted over the shoulders but still added a shape to the outfit. I wore both dresses with my hi-top black converse but I need recommendations for some nude chunky trainers, need to add some to my collection!

The black corduroy dress is a from the brand Glamorous, originally stocked in Top-shop, now ASOS and it is the best thing to wear, I can dress it down with white converse and my Michael Kors medium backpack or dress it up with a faux fur cream coat and my cross body bag with chunky boots, I’m definitely not a heels girl but if anyone owns any comfy casual heels let me know over on my Instagram! Another one of my favourite styles for winter dresses is layering a turtle neck under my summer dresses. I wear this black cami dress from ASOS with all of my turtle necks and this outfit with the leopard print bodysuit from ASOS made a lovely autumn/winter going out outfit. I can wear these all day and are perfect day to night transition. The flowery dress from pull and bear is one of my favourite colours at the moment and I am looking forward to wearing this in summer. In spring I am wanting to wear this with a short sleeve white T-shirt underneath as a pinafore style. I also wear the short sleeve t-shirt and my white turtle neck underneath my black cami wide leg jumpsuit from Miss Selfridge, I’ll link this at the bottom. I know this last one isn’t a dress but I love the outfit so much for going out. This skirt and bodysuit combination is such a simple but effective outfit, paired with tights, my longline camel coat and white converse I love wearing this out and can’t wait to wear it in summer with an oversized denim jacket and white converse.

Some other winter dresses from Some other winter dresses from ASOS that I have seen is the ASOS Design Roll Neck Mini Dress in cream, I don’t own a jumper dress I really struggle with getting them to fit me but this one looks gorgeous and so cosy! I also wished I suited this midi dress from ASOS, the shape is really hard to get right I can never fit them! This black square neck dress from Pretty Little thing is gorgeous I wished I saw it earlier! The square neck is really popular at the moment and it is a different

style to the little black dress. I hope they bring out a short sleeve style of this to wear in summer! The chocolate brown blazer dress is a simple but lovely piece. I really want to try a blazer dress but don’t want to spend a lot of money just to try one, send me your favourite place to buy them or recommendations of ones I should try!

Thank you for reading! If you have any recommendations for more dresses let me know!
